Do I keep control over the clips?
Yes. Smart Clipper suggests moments scored out of 100; you keep, shorten or delete each one, and adjust framing and captions before exporting. Nothing is posted without you.
How do I get started?
Create an account, then paste a YouTube link or upload a file. ClipOnIt transcribes the video and suggests its moments within a few minutes for a one-hour video. The Free plan gives you 40 minutes of video a month, no card.
Can I import a YouTube link?
Yes. Paste the YouTube link into ClipOnIt: the video is downloaded, transcribed and clipped, nothing to install. MP4, MOV and WEBM uploads work too.
Which video formats and sizes?
MP4, MOV, WEBM or a YouTube link. Up to 3 GB per video on Free, 8 GB on Starter, 20 GB on Pro and Business. A video can last up to 20 minutes on Free, 2 hours on Starter and 3 hours on Pro and Business.
How long does processing take?
A few minutes for a one-hour video. ClipOnIt transcribes, detects the highlights and scores them; each clip then exports in under 2 minutes.
Which languages are supported?
Transcription detects the video's language automatically: French, English and dozens more. On paid plans you can translate captions into 6 languages.
How long can a video be?
20 minutes per video on ClipOnIt's Free plan, 2 hours on Starter, 3 hours on Pro and Business. Each paid plan counts hours of video per month: 8 h on Starter, 15 h on Pro, 40 h on Business.
Is there a watermark?
Yes, on the free plan only. From Starter ($29/month) your exports are watermark-free and you can add your own logo.
Which export formats?
ClipOnIt exports MP4 in vertical 9:16, horizontal 16:9, square 1:1 and portrait 4:5, with an independent edit per format. Premiere Pro XML export is included from Pro.
Why hours instead of credits?
Because a credit does not tell you what you will pay. ClipOnIt counts the hours of video you import: 8 h a month on Starter, 15 h on Pro, 40 h on Business, with as many clips and exports as you want for each video. No melting balance, no surprise on the invoice.
Do my clips expire?
Not on ClipOnIt's paid plans: as long as the subscription is active, clips and exports stay available with no deadline (the source video itself is kept for 30 days). On the free plan they are kept for 7 days. A clip can be downloaded again as many times as you want.
Where is the data hosted?
ClipOnIt hosts videos on Hetzner servers in the European Union (Finland). On the free plan everything is deleted after 7 days; on paid plans the source video is kept for 30 days and clips for as long as the subscription is active. Deletion on request at any time.
